Poet's quill ... Nevermore

There are moments when I try and tap into poetry, especially when the emotions get far to strong to handle. Today is that day and I have something that can very much describe the mood.


On my shoulder, calmly sitting, listening to my soul so sore. My thoughts, like a scarf are knitting, to the mournful sounds of ... Nevermore

Raised into a peaceful life, a life that the world apart tore, fighting in this endless strife, I wish to scream: Nevermore!

By everyone villifed, Shunned away at every door, Silent, small and terrified I wish to be Nevermore

This hell I am forced to roam as if ravaged by a war for a place I would call home I can return to Nevermore

Was it your life or was it mine which I until now bore? You try and steal my every try and I want this Nevermore

I sit here with my flooded eyes toiling with my soul so sore. But all I say are mournful sighs sounding like this: Never ... more
